Global Entrepreneurship week

 from 15-21 November

Only seven percent from the total population in Macedonia have ever considered starting a new business, the entrepreneurship is on very low level and in reality there are no institutions that provide financial support in this direction, there are no brands or initiatives for their creation, according to PSM Foundation which today announced the Global Entrepreneurship week.
Mentality, lack of funds and fear from the future and the outcome are the main reasons why young people are not deciding to open their own businesses.

However, the interest is growing. With the training and education that we carry out for the last few years, slowly but surely we contribute to the development of the entrepreneurial spirit. Our idea is to motivate young people to start their own business instead of waiting a job at some government institution, said Marija Armenski- the incubator manager of PSM Foundation.
Her assessment is that almost none of the institutions provide financial support for development of entrepreneurship and the government provides very little in comparison with the Western countries.
One of the goals of the Global Entrepreneurship Week is actually the government institutions, NGO and the business sector, the international organizations and embassies to receive the message of how important is to invest in young people and their entrepreneurship spirit.

Creating successful Macedonian brand, the role of the woman in development of entrepreneurship, creating corporate responsibility of companies and spreading the culture of anti corruptive behavior between young people will be the main focus of the event.
The aim is to encourage the young people to create brands that will be competitive not only on the domestic but also on the foreign markets, stated Armenski.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week this year will be held from 15 to 21 of November in 88 countries including Macedonia. The event will include approximately 7,5 million young people . This event is organized as global since 2004.
